Designed in 1811, by celebrated architect John Nash, and situated in Regent’s Park in central London, this prestigious location regularly holds events including weddings catering for up to 500 guests; conferences and in 2013 the Topshop Fashion show.
As a result of live and recorded music at events, Regent’s University had encountered difficulties both from the local Camden Council and the Royal Parks authority, who impose strict regulation over any music in the park. In spring 2013, Berry Marquees, who provide Regent’s University with marquees for their events, contacted Direct Acoustic Solutions as a result of the limit placed on the number of events the venue could hold due to these noise problems.
After hiring the Zone Array sound system for two events, the organisers were so impressed with the results that they decided to purchase a large Zone Array sound system comprising of over one hundred panels, for permanent use in their marquee.
Subsequently, the venue has been able to hold events unhindered by noise complaints from the council, the Royal Parks authority or residential neighbours.
